Perched above Melbourne’s iconic Prahran Market, our new studio transforms the north-east corner of the existing building into a light filled, colourful and highly personal home for Lucy Clemenger Architects.
Rather than creating a conventional office, we wanted the studio to feel warm, welcoming and inspiring; a place that reflects the way we approach architecture and interiors, and the importance we place on collaboration. Working within the character of the existing shell, the design layers colour, texture, natural light, art, furniture and lighting to create a series of spaces that feel both comfortable and uplifting.
Pieces by favourite Australian designers, makers and suppliers are woven throughout, celebrating the creative relationships that are such an important part of our practice.
Completed as LCA celebrates its tenth year, the studio feels like an expression of where we have come from and, more importantly, where we are heading.
